Frequently asked questions

RideFit — by Bicyclotron. Quick answers about joining and running challenges.

What is RideFit?

RideFit is a Bicyclotron service where cycling clubs, brands, and communities run cycling challenges. Riders join with a free account, connect Strava, and their progress is tracked automatically from their rides.

Is RideFit free?

Yes — RideFit is free for clubs and riders, and there is no limit on how many riders can take part. A club may set an entry fee or a rider limit for its own challenge, so check the challenge page for its terms.

How does organiser access work?

Create a free Bicyclotron account, then ask for club access through the organiser portal. We set up every club personally, so approval can take a little while — you'll hear from us shortly.

How do riders join?

  • Pick a challenge — for example from the challenge catalog.
  • Sign up for a free account — just your name and email.
  • Link your Strava account.
  • Choose whether your name appears on the public leaderboard, and join.
  • That's it — every ride you record counts automatically.

Is Strava required?

Yes. In this version of RideFit, a connected Strava account is required to join a challenge and for automatic progress tracking.

How does leaderboard privacy work?

Your name appears on a public leaderboard only if you choose to show it. If you'd rather not be named, you appear as “Anonymous rider” instead.

Can organisers set capacity or charge an entry fee?

Yes. A club can set a rider limit or an entry fee for its own challenge if it wants one. RideFit itself doesn't limit riders or charge anyone.

Will RideFit become paid?

RideFit is free to use today, and there are no plans to charge clubs or riders right now. If that ever changes, clubs will be told well in advance.
